Jan Potměšil
Jan Potměšil (born March 31, 1966 in Vysoké Mýto , Czechoslovakia ) is a Czech actor and former child actor .
biography
Jan Potměšil made his screen debut at the age of eleven in the film drama Jakub, which was released in 1977 and directed by Ota Koval and Jaroslava Vosmiková . Until 1989 he played in productions such as The woman behind the counter , The Boss also knows the prosecutor and The princess and the flying cobbler . On December 8, 1989, shortly after Potměšil took part in the November demonstrations, he was in a car accident in which he sustained a spinal cord injury that partially paralyzed him. Although he has since been dependent on a wheelchair, he continued to act in the theater and in film.
On January 27, 2012, Potměšil took part in a benefit concert for the benefit of the Chinese lawyer Gao Zhisheng and the members of the banned religious group Falun Gong .
