Jan Radermacher
Jan Radermacher (* 1981 in Lingen ) is a German visual artist , actor , director , composer and illustrator of children's books.
Life
Radermacher completed a stage training at the Hamburg Stage School of Music, Dance and Drama . He began his professional career as an actor at the Schmidt Theater , the comedy Winterhuder Fährhaus , the Ohnsorg Theater , the Grips Theater in Berlin, the St. Pauli Theater and the Theater in der Basilika . Since 2012 he has directed various venues and worked as artistic director of the Ottensen court theater in Hamburg. He also worked as a freelance composer for the Bad Vilbel Castle Festival and as an author for the Lichtermeer theater. Since 2014 he has worked as a director at the Brothers Grimm Festival in Hanau , directed by Frank-Lorenz Engel , and became their deputy artistic director in 2016. Radermacher also designs stage sets, designs and produces life-size and snap-mouth dolls , develops advertising posters and illustrated numerous children's books for Carlsen Verlag .
He lives with his family in Hamburg.
