From 1995 to 1998 he was under contract with FK Jablonec , with whom he won the Czech Cup in 1997/98 .

In early 1999 Sopko was obliged by the Austrian Bundesliga club Vorwärts Steyr , for whom he completed 15 first division games, but could not prevent the team's relegation. He then ended his career.
