Jan Wilhelm

Jan Wilhelm (born December 4, 1942 in Danzig ) is a German lawyer and professor at the University of Passau .

Life

In 1961, Wilhelm passed the Abitur at the Wilhelm-Dörpfeld-Gymnasium in Wuppertal-Elberfeld . He then began studying law at the University of Bonn , which he completed in 1965 with the First State Examination. In the same year he became a research assistant at the University of Bonn with Werner Flume . After Wilhelm 1971 Second State Examination at the Higher Regional Court of Dusseldorf had insisted he was in 1973 with the investigation of the claim of violation of the law and financial decision as foundations and limits of unjust enrichment to Dr. iur. PhD. In May 1979 he completed his habilitation on the subject of legal form and liability in legal entities .

From August 1, 1980 to March 31, 2010, Wilhelm held the chair for Civil Law, Commercial and Business Law II at the University of Passau. In 1985, he turned down an offer for a chair for civil law and secondary areas at the Free University of Berlin .

Wilhelm is married and has five children.
