Jana Baumeister

Jana Baumeister (* 1988 in Herrenberg ) is a German opera and concert singer with a soprano voice.

Life

Jana Baumeister studied with Arno Leicht at the Nuremberg University of Music and then with Hedwig Fassbender at the Frankfurt University of Music and Performing Arts . Masterclasses with Brigitte Fassbaender , Margreet Honig, Frieder Bernius , Helmut Deutsch and Klesie Kelly-Moog complemented her studies, which she graduated with distinction in 2014. Since the 2014/2015 season she has been a permanent member of the ensemble at the Staatstheater Darmstadt , where she appeared in roles of the lyrical soprano, among others as Gretel in Hansel and Gretel , as Ännchen in Der Freischütz , as Füchslein Cleopatra in The Cunning Little Vixen and as Despina in Così fan toot . Other role debuts at this house were Susanna in Le nozze di Figaro (October 2017) and Pamina in Die Zauberflöte (October 2018).

In July 2017 she played the role of Frasquita in the premiere cast of Carmen at the 2017 Bregenz Festival .
