Jana Teschke

Jana Teschke (born September 22, 1990 in Hamburg ) is a German hockey player and student teacher.

Teschke was active in youth teams for the German Hockey Association for the first time in 2005 . In 2007 she took third place with the German team at the U18 European Championship, and in 2008 she won the U21 European Championship. On June 12, 2011, the midfielder made her debut in the German national hockey team . At the 2011 European Field Hockey Championships in Mönchengladbach, she and the national team came second behind the Dutch women. At the Champions Trophy 2012 , the German team took fourth place.

Jana Teschke has played 133 international matches, five of them indoors. (As of August 5, 2016)

She started playing hockey at preschool and has always played for Uhlenhorster HC , with which she became German champion in 2009 and 2011.

At the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, she won the bronze medal with the Olympic hockey team. For this success, she and her team were honored with the Silver Laurel Leaf on November 1, 2016 .
