Jandira Sassingui

Jandira Sassingui with stage name Pérola , (* Huambo , Angola ), is an Angolan R&B and Kizomba singer. She is currently one of the most successful and popular singers in the country. She is based in South Africa .

Pérola was born in the Angolan province of Huambo and started singing at the age of eight. At the age of 13, she moved with her family to Namibia , then in 2002 to South Africa, where she studied law at the University of Pretoria in 2007 . Before that, in 2004 she won a Rádio Luanda Young Talent Award . At a fashion show in 2005, she won the title "Best Female Artist in Southern Africa". In 2007 she sang at the first gala of "Divas Angola" in Luanda. In December 2010 she received the title “Diva do Ano 2010”. The event takes place annually in Luanda and aims to honor the position of Angolan women in today's society.

Her debut album Meus Sentimentos (German: My feelings ) contains hits like Angola and Jáhaben . Her second album, Cara e Coroa (German: Face & Crown ), was released in 2009 and has 13 tracks in the music genre Contemporary R&B , Soul , Zouk and Kilapanga . The album was produced in Angola, France , Portugal and Brazil . It was created under the auspices of Heavy C , Ekuikui , Jerry Charbonnier , Wonder Boyz , Dmage and Cervantes .
