Jane Lancaster

Jane Lancaster is a former British singer who released a few singles under her first name.

Career

The pop song It's a Fine Day, penned by Edward Barton, was released in May 1983 under the name Jane and was at number 87 on the UK charts for one week in June of that year . In September, the album Jane and Barton followed , on which, in addition to It's a Fine Day , there are six other songs written by Barton, including I Want to Be with You , which was also released in September , which went unnoticed. Together with Barton, Gerald Simpson and Viv Dixon, Lancaster formed the project All of My Life in 1990 and released the dance track of the same name. The singer then withdrew from the music business and, according to rumors, has been devoting herself to Jehovah's Witnesses ever since .

In 1992 the band Opus III had a worldwide hit with a cover version of It's a Fine Day .
