Janet Fielding
Janet Fielding (born Janet Mahoney) in Brisbane , Queensland January 1957 is an Australian actress .
Her best-known role is Tegan Jovanka in Doctor Who as the companion of the fourth Doctor, played by Tom Baker , and especially the fifth, played by Peter Davison . Fielding played the role from 1981 to 1984. In 1982 she married the Daily Mirror's foreign affairs editor Nick Davies . Both divorced in 1991. Fielding worked as an Acting Agent in the 1990s, proposing Paul McGann as an eighth PhD. Fielding also played Tegan in Doctor Who radio plays. Today she works in a charity.
