Janet Kath

Janet Kath (born September 22, 1964 in Hainburg an der Donau ) is an Austrian manager and entrepreneur.

Career

After graduating from secondary school in Bruck an der Leitha, graduating from the commercial academy in Bruck an der Leitha , she started working as an assistant in purchasing at Merkur in 1983 , while completing the university course for advertising and sales. After becoming head of the non-food and marketing department in 1986, she also became an authorized signatory in 1990 . In this position she also got to know her then boss Veit Schalle , whom she married in 1999. In 1995 she became managing director of the Bipa drug store chain.

In 2000 she took over the Austrian branches of the furniture chain Interio from the then Swiss parent company Magazine zum Globus via franchise . She is now the managing director and owner of Interio Austria . In the media, Kath spoke out several times in favor of extending shop opening times to Sunday, especially for the furniture and furnishings industry, to which she and her furniture stores belong.

Furthermore, she sat for the BZÖ in the Board of Trustees of the ORF .

At a meeting of the Ladies Lounge in Carinthia, Kath is said to have declared: " You leave a button on your blouse open if it helps to achieve your goals. "
