Jannie Momberg

Jannie Momberg (born July 27, 1938 in Stellenbosch ; † January 7, 2011 in Cape Town ) was a South African winemaker and ambassador .

Life

Jannie Momberg was a sports official from 1969 to 1989 and from 1986 to 1989 he was a cricket official. From 1989 to 1992 member of the Democratic Party (South Africa) . Until 1994 he sat for the constituency of Simon's Town in the South African National Assembly .

In 1992 he became a member of the African National Congress , from 1994 to 2001 he was in the South African National Assembly , Whip of the ANC. From 2002 to 2006 he was ambassador to Athens .
