Janosch's dream lesson , also Janosch's dream lesson - The Bear, the Tiger and the Others , is a 26-part cartoon series for children based on stories by the German illustrator, children's book author and writer Janosch . Directed by Jürgen Egenolf, Uwe-Peter Jeske and Wolfgang Urchs .

content

Around half of all episodes each contain two self-contained stories, but almost as many episodes only tell a single longer story. The remaining episodes summarize three to four stories, some of which are very short. Common to all the episodes is the framework story in which the “Big, Big Forest Bear” appears as the announcer (initially rather silent). The stories offer a very broad cross-section of Janosch's picture books, from tiger and bear to the flying Popov, Schnuddelbuddel, Hannes Strohkopp or the chatterbox to more unusual personnel such as Antek Pistole, the rabbit Robinson or the raven Josef. Of the Quasselkasper story, only the first half was filmed in the first season, but later completed by an episode of the second season. In a broader sense, the story of the raven Josef can also be viewed as a two-parter, since “The Secret of Mr. Schmidt” is a melancholy sequel.
