Janusz Świerczowski († 1530 in Poland ) was a Polish nobleman , officials in the civil service and officer .

Life

Świerczowski was castellan of Wiślica and starost of Terebowlja and Lublin . He took part in the rank of hetman of the royal Polish court in the Muscovite-Lithuanian War 1512-1522 as a subordinate of the Lithuanian Grand Hetman Konstantin Ivanovich Ostroschski . In the battle of Orscha in 1514, next to Wojciech Sampoliński , he led a 5,000-strong cavalry against the army of Grand Duke Vasily III. on.
