Janusz Hooker

Leslie Janusz Hooker (born September 28, 1969 in Sydney ) is a former Australian rower , he won an Olympic bronze medal in 1996.

Athletic career

Janusz Hooker was third in the 1987 Junior World Championships in One . In the same year he took eighth place in the match of the senior , a forerunner of the U23 world championships .

At the 1994 World Championships , Hooker came eleventh in the four without a helmsman . The following year he competed in the 1995 World Championships and finished in 16th place. In 1996 he won the bronze medal in the four-four behind the boats from Germany and the United States at the Olympic Games in Atlanta together with Boden Hanson , Duncan Free and Ronald Snook .

The 1.91 m tall rower from the Mosman Rowing Club became a businessman after his active days. He is the chairman of the LJ Hooker Company , a real estate company founded by his grandfather.
