Japanese Alps
The Japanese Alps ( Japanese 日本 ア ル プ ス , Nihon Arupusu ) are a mountain range on the Japanese island of Honshū , consisting of the mountain ranges of the Hida Mountains (Northern Alps), the Kiso Mountains (Central Alps) and the Akaishi Mountains (Southern Alps).
In the Japanese Alps there are three-thousand-meter peaks such as the Kita-dake with 3193 m HP and the Hotaka-dake with 3190 m HP
Mount Ontake ( 3067 m TP ) is not only goal of pilgrimages , but also an active volcano , its last eruptions were in 1979, 1980 and, 2014.
