Jared Hodgkiss (born November 15, 1986 in Stafford ) is an English football player . Since October 2009 the right-back has been under contract with the English fifth division team Forest Green Rovers .

Career

Hodgkiss was added to the professional squad of the then first division West Bromwich Albion for the 2005/06 season . On January 17, 2006, he made his debut game in the shirt of the Baggies . In the replay of the third main round of the FA Cup 2005/06 , the defender came against Reading FC . He made his Premier League debut on the last day of the season, on May 7, 2006, when he was substituted on for Steve Watson against Everton . At this point the relegation to the Football League Championship was already certain. After the team failed the following year in the play-offs to rise again to Derby County , they managed to rise again as the first in the 2007/08 season.

In order to give Hodgkiss more match practice, he was loaned to the Scottish league for Aberdeen FC at the end of August 2008 . There he stayed until January 2009 to return to West Bromwich after seven league games. A second loan period followed from March 2009 to the end of the season at Northampton Town , where he came five more times in Football League One to train.

In the summer of 2009, Hodgkiss received the transfer clearance from the new first division relegated; the next station in October 2009 was the Forest Green Rovers in the fifth class Conference National .
