Jaren ( Norwegian for edge or edge ) are a series of mountain peaks in the shape of a cliff in Queen Maud Land, East Antarctica . In the Mühlig-Hofmann Mountains they rise up immediately west of the Storkvarvet mountain .
Norwegian cartographers, who also named this group of mountains descriptively, mapped them on the basis of measurements and aerial photographs of the Third Norwegian Antarctic Expedition (1956–1960).
