Jaro Omar
Jaro Omar (born June 13, 1989 in Berlin ) is a German manager , composer , songwriter and former television actor .
Career
Omar's career began at the age of 14 in the children's and youth series Schloss Einstein , for which he was in front of the camera from 2004 to 2006. Before that, he was seen on the SAT.1 show Kleine very big under the moderation of Christian Clerici and appeared in the musical Grease at the Berlin Schillertheater . In 2009 he was in the movie Horst Schlämmer - Isch kandidiere! to see.
Omar studied law and economics at the University of Mannheim . In 2013, Omar received the Bronnbacher Scholarship from the Kulturkreis der deutschen Wirtschaft , which aims to provide cultural education and skills training for young executives and decision-makers. In addition, he received the Germany Scholarship from the University of Mannheim, which is awarded annually for above-average performance in school and studies as well as outstanding extracurricular and extra-university commitment. In 2013, Omar spent a semester abroad at the University of Massachusetts in Boston . Omar graduated from the University of Mannheim in 2014 with a legal distinction and a Master of Laws (LL.M.).
After graduating, Omar moved to New York and worked for the German-American Chamber of Commerce in New York . At the same time, he continued to work on music in New York and Los Angeles. In January 2018 he took part in the songwriting camp for the German preliminary decision for the Eurovision Song Contest 2018 . Omar was able to place the song My Own Way for the German singer Natia Todua . In 2019 the song Fading, co-written by Omar, by Alle Farben and the singer Ilira, reached number 1 on the German radio charts.
