Career

Novlud made his international debut at the Four Hills Tournament in 1957/58 . He achieved his best result in Innsbruck . From the Bergiselschanze he jumped to 27th place. In the overall ranking he finished 37th and thus achieved his best overall result on his first tour. After taking a break for two years, he started in the Four Hills Tournament in 1960/61 in three of the four jumping competitions. He achieved the best individual result of his career in the opening competition in Oberstdorf with 17th place. Since he did not start in Garmisch-Partenkirchen , he was only 52nd overall at the end of the tour. In the following Four Hills Tournament in 1961/62 Novlud started again in both Austrian jumping competitions, but clearly missed a success.

At the Nordic World Ski Championships in Zakopane in 1962 , Novlud started from the large hill. He jumped to 80 and 84.5 meters and reached 53rd place together with his compatriot Zbyněk Hubač .
