The Jaron Cliffs are a series of steep, snow-covered cliffs in Marie Byrd Land, West Antarctica . They tower on the south side of Mount Takahe .
The United States Geological Survey mapped them using their own surveys and aerial photographs of the United States Navy from 1959 to 1966. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named them in 1967 after Helmut P. Jaron (1912-1991), aurora researcher at Byrd Station in 1963.
