Jaroslava Maxová (born April 6, 1957 in Moravská Třebová , Czechoslovakia ) is a Czech opera singer (mezzo-soprano) and singing teacher. She also appears as Jaroslava Horská and Jaroslava Horská-Maxová .

Life

In 1980 she graduated from the pedagogical faculty of the Palacky University Olomouc in the subjects Czech and music with the title Master . From 1980 to 1984 she studied at the Music University in Bratislava and graduated with the title MgA. At the same time she appeared in the Slovak National Theater. After graduating in 1986, she was employed there. In 1988 she sang from the works of L. Perosi for John Paul II . In the 1994 season she was a guest at the Bregenz Festival in the Zandonai opera Francesca da Rimini . She could also be seen on stages in Germany, Italy, Holland, Spain, France, Switzerland, Austria, Hungary, Russia and Turkey under the direction of conductors Moshe Atzmon , Arturo Sacchetti , Andrew Parrot , Hubert Soudant , Arpad Jóo , Ferenc Nagy , Otakar Kudrna , Zdeněk Košler , Jiří Bělohlávek , Oliver Dohnányi , Libor Pešek , Johannes Wildner , Andreas Stöhr , Přemysl Charvát , Alexander Rahbari , Fabio Luisi and John Fiore . She cooperates with Alexander Goldscheider's London-based Romantic Robot record company. She worked with the composers Peter Maxwell Davies , Jan Klusák , Alexander Goldscheider and Alexander Rudajev .

In 1994 she became a soloist at the Prague National Theater. The roles she sang are Olga in Onegin, Cherubin in Mozart's Figaros Wedding, Radmila in Libuscha, Hata in the Bartered Bride. For five years she taught as a singing teacher at the Jaroslav Ježek Conservatory in Prague.
