Jan Klusák (born April 18, 1934 in Prague ) is a Czech composer, actor and writer.

Life

Klusák studied at the Academy of Performing Arts with Jaroslav Řídký and Pavel Bořkovec and has lived as a freelance composer, actor and writer ever since. After 1989 he also held various public functions in Czech musical life, including President of the Music Department of the Art Society, Vice President of the Czech Music Council and member of the Prague Spring Music Festival committee .

His extensive work includes symphonies , instrumental concerts, film music and other orchestral works, chamber music , operas , drama music, ballets , choral works and songs .
