Yaroslawa Vladimirovna Frolova ( Russian Ярослава Владимировна Фролова , English Yaroslava Frolova ; born May 18, 1997 in Volgograd ) is a Russian handball player who belongs to the squad of the Russian national team.
Career
Jaroslawa Frolowa initially played in her hometown for GK Dynamo Volgograd . With Volgograd she won the Russian championship in 2014. In February 2017, the backcourt player moved to GK Kuban Krasnodar . After Frolova scored 473 goals for Kuban in 103 competitive games, she moved to league rivals GK Rostov-on-Don in January 2020 . With Rostov she won the Russian championship in 2020.
Frolova won the silver medal with Russia at the U-17 European Championships in 2013 and was also elected to the All-Star team. A year later, she ran for Russia at the U-18 World Cup . She also took part in the 2014 Summer Youth Olympic Games and won the silver medal. In 2015, Frolova won the silver medal with Russia at the U-19 European Championship and was also elected to the All-Star team. A year later she again won the silver medal at the U-20 World Cup and was honored with the MVP title . She is now playing for the Russian national team. With the Russian selection, she won the silver medal at the 2018 European Championships . At the 2019 World Cup , she won the bronze medal with the Russian selection. With 48 hits, she finished ninth in the top scorer list.
