Jarrett Hurd (* 31 August 1990 in Accokeek , Maryland ) is an American boxer in the light middleweight and former world champion of the associations IBF and WBA (Super Champion).

Career

Jarrett Hurd won 32 of 40 amateur fights and moved to the professional camp in 2012. In 2015 and 2016 he beat some strong opponents like Frank “Notorious” Galarza (17-0) and Óscar Molina (13-0), as well as Ionuț Dan Ion (35-3). He won the vacant IBF world title on February 25, 2017 by TKo in the ninth round at the Legacy Arena in Birmingham , Alabama , against Tony Harrison (24-1). He became WBA Superchampion when he defeated the Cuban Erislandy Lara on April 7, 2018 on points.
