geography
The nutrient area of the Jarvis Glacier is located at an altitude of 1600 m on the southern flank of Jarvis Peak (1972 m) in the Alsek Ranges . From there it flows 10 km in a southeasterly direction. He then turns east and crosses the border into Alaska. The glacier, which is 800 m wide on average, ends after another 2.3 km at an altitude of around 400 m . The Jarvis Glacier is thus largely located within the Tatshenshini-Alsek Provincial Park in British Columbia. The Jarvis Creek flows from the glacier tongue 4.8 km east to the Klehini River and forms its main tributary.
