The Jaskinia Jasna cave (German: Helle Höhle ) is a cave in the Krzemionki Zakrzowskie massif in the southern foothills of the Kraków-Częstochowa Jura in the Zakrzówek district of the Polish city ​​of Kraków . It lies between the lake Jezioro Zakrzówek in the former quarry of the same name and the Vistula . Not far from the cave is the Twardowski Cave .

Location and description

The entrance is at an altitude of approx. 215  m npm . The cave was already inhabited in the Stone Age.

etymology

The name can be translated as a light cave and alludes to the large entrance area.

tourism

The cave is freely accessible. However, it is not developed for tourists, and there is no electrical lighting.
