Jasmin-Isabel Kühne

Jasmin-Isabel Kühne (* 1988 in Braunschweig ) is a German harpist .

Kühne grew up in Wolfsburg and received piano lessons from the age of four, followed by harp lessons at the music school in Wolfsburg. She studied harp with Godelieve Schrama as well as music education at the Detmold University of Music and completed her studies with a diploma and concert exam. This was followed by a master's degree in Paris and Oslo with Isabelle Perrin. She also completed master classes with Germaine Lorenzini, Isabelle Moretti and Jana Boušková, among others.

Kühne has won multiple federal prizes at the Jugend musiziert competition in the categories harp solo and harp ensemble. She is a scholarship holder of various foundations, including the German National Academic Foundation . She is the recipient of a GWK sponsorship award as well as 2nd prize at the international Harp Competition of Italy 2014 and 1st prize at the Lyon & Healy Award 2013 in Cardiff.

Kühne gives concerts in various chamber music formations. She worked for several years as principal harpist in the orchestra of the Braunschweig State Theater , the Magdeburg Theater and the Kassel State Theater and played as a guest in orchestras such as the NDR Radiophilharmonie , the Frankfurt Radio Symphony Orchestra , the WDR Symphony Orchestra , the Oslo Philharmonic Orchestra and the Stavanger Symphonieorkestra.

In 2008 she played as solo harpist in the world premiere of Mikis Theodorakis ' Rhapsodies in the Berlin Philharmonic and Cologne Philharmonic . In 2010 she accompanied Peter Maffay as a harpist on his tattoos tour in Germany and in the same year was a soloist at the 5th International Harp Festival in Rio de Janeiro .

Concerts with her were broadcast on the radio by WDR3. As a lecturer, Kühne leads the harp class at the music school of the city of Wolfsburg, gives master classes in Germany and abroad and is a guest lecturer at the Detmold University of Music .
