Jason Cohen

Jason Cohen is an American filmmaker of documentaries , which in the Academy Awards in 2014 for his work in Facing Fear for the Oscar in the category Best Short Documentary was nominated.

Life

Cohen studied at the University of Wisconsin-Madison , where he worked as a sports reporter for the student newspaper The Daily Cardinal and as an intern for the sports channel WMTV . Cohen has worked with director Steven Okazaki as a producer since the beginning of his film career in the early 2000s . In addition to his documentaries, Cohen has also produced a feature film, Opal (2010), which tells the story of the author Opal Whiteley . He was also involved in numerous commercials, including for Nike , Gatorade and Microsoft . For his film project Four Women, One World , Cohen traveled to Uganda , India , Haiti , Spain and Italy . He now lives in San Francisco .
