Jason McCartney
Jason McCartney (born September 3, 1973 in Honolulu ) is an American cyclist .
McCartney started his career at NutraFig in 1999 . After two years he switched to Jelly Belly and was able to win the Tour of Kansas City there in 2002 . In 2003 he came to 7 UP-Maxxis . In the 2004 season he was able to win a stage of the Tour de Georgia . From 2005 he drove for the US ProTeam Discovery Channel , for which he competed twice in the Giro d'Italia and once in the Vuelta a España . There he won the fourteenth stage in 2007 and was able to celebrate the greatest success of his career. In 2008 he switched to the CSC-Saxo Bank team , took part in the Giro again twice and in 2010 joined the newly founded RadioShack team. In 2012 he won a stage of the Volta a Portugal for the UnitedHealthcare Pro Cycling Team . McCartney has been riding for Bissell Cycling since 2013 .
