Javier García López (born May 5, 1957 in Mexico City ), also known by the nickname El Chocolate , is a former Mexican football player who mainly played in midfield .
career
García López, who emerged from the youth division of Club América , received his first professional contract with the Americanistas and was part of the team's squad in the second half of the 1970s , which in the 1975/76 season won both the Mexican football championship and the Supercup and in the The following years won the CONCACAF Champions Cup (1977) and the Copa Interamericana (1978 as the first club from the CONCACAF division ).
