Javon Baumann (born November 5, 1992 ) is a German basketball player. He has been under contract with Phoenix Hagen since 2017 .
career
Baumann comes from Solms in the Lahn-Dill district . He went to school in Wetzlar and played for MTV 1846 Gießen. In the 2010/11 season he played a game for the Gießen 46ers in the basketball Bundesliga , in 2011/12 he played for the Licher BasketBären in the 2nd Bundesliga ProB .
In 2012 he went to the United States to attend the Saint Joseph's University (State Pennsylvania to connect) competitive sports and studies. In the 2012/13 season he did not take part in the game, after the 2013/14 season Baumann shared the award with his teammate Chris Wilson as the player who has developed the most over the course of the season. In the 2014/15 season he was in the starting line-up in 30 games and blocked 39 opposing throws over the course of the season - that was the team's best. According to the statistics, that season was the best of his college career: he scored 3.6 points and 3.7 rebounds per game. On the offensive, Baumann was mostly inconspicuous in Saint Joseph's jersey: by the end of the 2016/17 season he played exactly 100 games for the university team and averaged 2.3 points per mission.
At the end of May 2017, Baumann was signed by Phoenix Hagen from the 2nd Bundesliga ProA .
