Jayne Gackenbach

Jayne Gackenbach (born May 24, 1946 ) is an American-Canadian writer, researcher and a pioneer in the field of lucid dreams .

Life

In 1978 she completed her Ph. D. in experimental psychology . The subject of the dissertation was A Personality and Cognitive Style Analysis of Lucid Dreaming . Before emigrating to Canada in the 1990s , she pursued an academic career for eleven years, primarily at the University of Northern Iowa .

Jayne Gackenbach was president of the Association for the Study of Dreams in 1988 and 1989 , managing director of the Lucidity Association from 1981 to 1993 , and senior editor of the Lucidity Letters from 1981 to 1990. During this time she has published a large number of publications, mostly on the subject of dreams and higher levels of consciousness, written and published.

After many years of research in the field of lucid dream, she moved to the field of network-based communication a few years ago . She is currently a member of the Faculty of Arts and Science at Grant MacEwan College in Edmonton, Canada, and a part-time teacher at Athabasca University (Canada) and Saybrook Graduate School in San Francisco .
