Jean-Jacques-Baptiste Anet (le fils) (born January 2, 1676 in Paris , † August 14, 1755 in Lunéville ) was a French violinist and composer .

Live and act

Jean-Baptiste Anet was the son of the violinist of the same name Jean-Baptiste Anet (le père) (1650-1710), who gave him his first lessons. In 1695 and 1696 Anet stayed in Rome as a student of Arcangelo Corelli , who had a strong influence on his musical work. Between 1699 and 1700 he toured Germany and Poland. Back in Paris he was in the service of the Duke of Orléans and appeared in 1701 at a concert at the royal court of Versailles. From 1701 to 1715 he was in the service of Maximilian Emanuel II of Bavaria, who lived in exile . From 1715 he joined the Vingt-quatre Violons du Roy and in 1735 he had his first appearance at the Concert spirituel . From 1737 he came to the court orchestra of the Polish ex-King Stanislaus I. Leszczyński in Nancy and Lunéville.

During his time in Paris, Anet was one of the city's leading violinists and was admired for his improvisational skills. He brought the Italian style to France and thus influenced the following generation of violinists.
