Jean-Baptiste Jadin

Jean-Baptiste Jadin (born September 9, 1744 in Namür , † around 1790 in Paris ) was a violinist and composer from the Habsburg Netherlands (today's Belgium) .

Jean-Baptiste Jadin, like his brothers François and Georges Jadin, was employed as a musician at the Namür Cathedral, and at the same time they were members of the episcopal chamber ensemble. Around 1763 he was a brief member of the court orchestra of the governor of the Habsburg Netherlands, Prince Karl Alexander of Lorraine . From around 1765, Jean-Baptiste Jadin worked in the court orchestra of Versailles , as well as piano and violin teacher.

Two of his children, Louis Emmanuel Jadin and Hyacinthe Jadin , became famous composers and performers.
