Jean-Baptiste Pelt

Jean-Baptiste Pelt (born April 6, 1863 in Blettange, district of Bousse on the Moselle , † September 10, 1937 ) was Bishop of Metz from 1919 until his death .

In 1886 he was ordained a priest. His episcopal ordination on September 29, 1919 was carried out by the Archbishop of Paris, Cardinal Léon-Adolphe Amette .

He was the author of a number of theological works and texts on Metz Cathedral .
