Jean-Daniel Pollet

Jean-Daniel Pollet (born June 20, 1936 in La Madeleine , Nord-Pas-de-Calais , † September 9, 2004 in Cadenet , Département Vaucluse ) was a French director and screenwriter .

Life

Pollet began his film career in 1958 with the short film Pourvu qu'on ait l'ivresse ... , which he shot in Paris. He was hit by a train in 1989 that he wanted to film and has been paralyzed ever since. Due to the paralysis, he was only able to make two films, Dieu sait quoi and Ceux d'en face , both in his home town of Cadenet. After his health deteriorated further, he retired to his country house. There he photographed his surroundings. His friend Jean-Paul Fargier created the film Jour après jour from these photos and his own recordings .
