Jean-François Callet
Jean-François Callet (* 1744 in Versailles , † 1799 in Paris ) was a French mathematician .
Life
Callet was a professor of hydrography at the Dépôt de la Guerre . In 1783 he published William Gardiner's log tables and in 1795 added the logarithms of the trigonometric values for the new decimal division of a circle . These boards were printed by Firmin Didot using the stereotype process . In 1857 an improved edition by J. Dupuis appeared.
