The Himmelberg Hills are a group of linearly arranged hills with prominent rocky outcrops in the West Antarctic Queen Elizabeth Land . In the Forrestal Range of the Pensacola Mountains they tower over a length of 18 km at the southwest end of the Saratoga Table . They include the Haskill Nunatak , the Ray Nunatak and the Beiszer Nunatak
The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named them in 2001 after the geologist Glen Raymond Himmelberg (* 1937) from the University of Missouri , who from 1973 to 1991 together with Arthur B. Ford made important contributions to the understanding of the intrusion of the Dufek massif and thus to geological history Development of the Pensacola Mountains provided.
