The Ray Nunatak is a 1630 m high nunatak in Queen Elizabeth Land in West Antarctica . It rises 1.5 km north of the Beiszer Nunatak and 8 km southwest of Dyrdal Peak in the southern Forrestal Range in the Pensacola Mountains .
The United States Geological Survey mapped it using surveys and aerial photographs from the United States Navy between 1956 and 1966. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it in 1968 after James A. Ray, caretaker at Ellsworth Station in the Antarctic winter of 1957.
