Friedrich Antoniacomi
Friedrich Alois Maria Antoniacomi , also Fritz Antoniacomi (born November 2, 1880 in Bozen , † January 30, 1975 in Innsbruck ), was a Tyrolean painter and graphic artist .
Life
He studied from 1894 to 1897 at the State Trade School in Innsbruck. From 1898 to 1900 he was based in Villach . Then he was a decorative painter in Innsbruck. From 1902 to 1904 he completed further training as a painter with Alfons Siber in Hall in Tirol . He also worked as a restorer of church paintings. From 1904 to 1910 he studied at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna with Sigmund L'Allemand , Christian Griepenkerl and Julius Schmid . During the semester break he worked with Wilhelm Höhnel on wall paintings and restorations.
In addition to his studies, he was also an assistant at various schools in Vienna. In 1911 he became a teacher at the state trade school in Trento . In 1915 he was appointed to teach at the clay industry college in Znojmo . In 1916 he was appointed professor in Trieste (Trento and Trieste were then part of Austria-Hungary ).
From 1919 to 1946 he was a teacher at the Federal Trade School in Innsbruck. In 1933 he was a founding member (with Josef Manfreda) of the artists' association "Erde". In 1944 his studio was destroyed in a bomb attack. In 1947 he was a founding member and board member of the Künstlerbund Tirol.
He mainly created landscapes, mythological and biblical scenes and frescoes.
