Jean-François Correvon

Jean-François Correvon (born October 3, 1954 in Lausanne ; † November 23, 2014 in Schlieren ; resident in Cuarny ) was a Swiss artist and representative of concrete and constructive art as well as a cigar dealer. He had lived in German-speaking Switzerland since the 1980s, most recently in Dietikon .

life and work

Correvon's first artistic works at the end of the 1970s were landscape motifs in acrylic paints, which were characterized by strict geometry. More and more, the geometric shapes prevailed in his works. Correvon dealt intensively with the study of the techniques. In addition to acrylic paints, he used oil paints as well as screen printing and giclee .

In addition to his art, Correvon was also a cigar dealer and producer. He marketed his cigars under the Correvon 1291 own brand.
