Jean-François Delcamp

Jean-François Delcamp (born October 16, 1956 in Nice ) is a French composer , guitarist and editor of classical guitar literature.

Life

Jean-François Delcamp began playing guitar at the age of 9 and was trained by Berthie Compostel, Alberto Ponce and Alexandre Lagoya . He won several international guitar competitions and performed publicly as a classical guitarist, but also with a progressive rock band, as well as in improvisation and jazz concerts. Delcamp was also active as a radio host and initiator of a music fair. Since 1981 he has been professor of guitar at the Conservatoire de Musique, de Danse et d'Art Dramatique de Brest métropole océane in Brest .

Act

Delcamp achieved further notoriety through his numerous editions of classical guitar literature. These free editions contain on the one hand practice pieces by various composers in ten levels of difficulty (two more have been announced), on the other hand editions of works by classical composers such as Francisco Tárrega , Miguel Llobet (since the copyright expired on January 1, 2009) and many others.
