Jean-François Garreaud (born April 1, 1946 in Montmorency , † July 9, 2020 in Saint-Jory-de-Chalais ) was a French actor .

life and career

He became known in 1978 as Isabelle Huppert's fateful lover Jean Dabin in Claude Chabrol's crime film Violette Nozière and alongside Romy Schneider in Claude Sautet's drama A Simple Story . Numerous other roles, including a. in Alain Delon's literary adaptation Le Battant , or as Mario in Chabrol's drama Betty .

Between 1999 and 2006 he played the leading role of Michel Lemarchand in the crime series La Crim ' .

He died in Saint-Jory-de-Chalais in July 2020 at the age of 74.
