Jean-Louis Mourier (born November 6, 1962 in Paris ) is a French comic artist .

Jean-Louis Mourier was influenced by painting as a child. His father introduced him to comics - Franco-Belgian classics, but also US comics. In 1979 he began to study applied arts and later commercial graphics. After five years he graduated with a diploma and started working in an advertising agency. In 1987 he published his first comic works. He designed his first complete comic book with Claire Bretécher about the life of Auguste Rodin for the Rodin Museum .

After moving from Paris to southern France, he met in Marseille on Scotch Arleston . A first joint project was Die Feuer von Askell , later the spin-off to Lanfeust von Troy , Troll von Troy .
