Erich Rauch

Erich Rauch (born August 27, 1922 in Graz ; † May 22, 2003 in Klagenfurt ) was an Austrian doctor , medical advisor, founder and head of the first inpatient health center for the Franz Xaver Mayr cure .

Life

Erich Rauch was born in Graz as the son of a general practitioner. After being a prisoner of war for several years, Rauch did not complete his medical studies until 1950 in Vienna . During his training as a general practitioner, Rauch got to know the Austrian physician Franz Xaver Mayr and his diagnostic and regeneration therapies and, as his student, further developed the Franz Xaver Mayr cure in the following years. Rauch also used massages, naturopathy , homeopathy and reflex therapies. He developed dishes for the “Mild Derivation Diet” in the Mayr cure, a standard work for Mayr doctors.

After more than 20 years of outpatient practice in Vienna , he and the German entrepreneur Rolf Deyhle founded the first inpatient center for the Franz Xaver Mayr cure on August 1, 1976, the “Golf Hotel am Wörther See Health Center”. Rauch was the first medical director there until his retirement. But even afterwards he actively supported the medical team at the Golfhotel am Wörther See health center until his death . In addition to his work as a doctor, Rauch wrote several world-famous standard works on FX Mayr medicine.

He also worked in the field of psychotherapy and wrote a textbook on autosuggestion as an accompanying measure to medical therapy. He also wrote a brief introduction to autosuggestion.

The medic Rauch was also an avid painter . Many of the watercolors drawn by Rauch , some of which are hanging in the golf hotel, show a connection to medicine and have therapeutic approaches.
