Jean-Nicolas Marrigues

Jean-Nicolas Marrigues (* 1757 ; † 1834 ) was a French organist.

During the French Revolution , Marrigues was organist at the Cathedral of Versailles. He later came to Paris and became organist on the Clicquot organs of Saint-Thomas d'Aquin , St.Nicolas-des Champs and St. Gervais , where he succeeded the last organist of the Couperin family . He also taught at the Institut des Jeunes Aveugles .

Marrigues left about thirty organ works, including several fugues that were only recently published.
