Timofey Granovsky ( Russian Тимофей Николаевич Грановский ; scientific. Transliteration Timothy Nikolaevič Granovskii ; born March 9, jul. / 21st March  1813 greg. In Orel , † October 4 jul. / 16th October  1855 greg. In Moscow ) was a Russian historian .

Granowski was a professor of history at Moscow University and is considered the founder of Russian Medieval studies . His friend Alexander Herzen set a monument for him in his memoirs. Granovsky was also friends with Stankevich and Ogaryov .
