Jean-Paul Gauzes

Jean-Paul Gauzès (born October 1, 1947 in Toulouse ) is a French politician of the Union pour un mouvement populaire (UMP).

Life

Gauzès studied economics and law and worked as a lawyer after completing his studies. He has been mayor of Sainte-Agathe-d'Aliermont since 1983 . Gauzès has been a member of the European Parliament since 2009 and was one of the first to sign the Finance Watch organization .

MEP

From 2009 to 2014, Gauzés was a member of the Executive Committee of the Group of the European People's Party . He is a member of the Committee on Economic and Monetary Affairs and the delegation for relations with the Korean Peninsula . As a deputy, Gauzes is in the Committee on Agriculture and Rural Development and in the delegation in the ACP-EU Joint Parliamentary Assembly .
