Robert Böttcher (born September 12, 1989 ) is a German volleyball player .

Career

Böttcher began his career with Sportfreunde Brandenburg (SFB 94 eV) and then switched to the VC Olympia Berlin junior team . With the junior national team he took part in the U19 World Cup in Mexico in 2007 and was runner-up in the Czech Republic with the U21 in the following year . In the 2009/10 season, the middle blocker played for the second division TSGL Schöneiche and then moved to the Bundesliga club RWE Volleys Bottrop , with whom he was relegated to the second division in 2012. In the following season he rose again to the German upper house with the RWE Volleys as champions of the 2nd Bundesliga North. In December 2013, the RWE Volleys Bottrop was revoked the Bundesliga license, whereupon Böttcher ended his volleyball career.
