Jean-Paul Tony Helissey (* 28. March 1990 in Pointe-à-Pitre , Guadeloupe as Jean-Paul Helissey ) is a French fencer .

successes

Jean-Paul Tony Helissey achieved his first international success with the bronze medal at the 2015 European Games in Baku . He reached the semi-finals of the individual competition, in which he was defeated by Timur Arslanov . At the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro , Tony Helissey was a substitute in the team competition and came in the final against Russia for his only use. The Russian team prevailed against France with 45:41, so that Tony Helissey received the silver medal together with Jérémy Cadot , Enzo Lefort and Erwann Le Péchoux . After the Olympic silver, he received the Knight's Cross of the Ordre national du Mérite in December 2016 .
